At Maple Leaf, our proprietary 40
Steps to Food Safety is the measure by which we set higher operational
standards for ourselves in all areas that touch on food safety, from the
purchase of raw materials to processing, packaging and distribution. This
process is audited by an independent third party company to ensure consistency
and lack of bias. The process includes all aspects of the production process
including manufacturing, transportation and warehousing and addresses the
